The finish is marked by a fine, savory echo that adds depth, leading into a long, elegant finale.This vintage continues to be produced from old, untrained vines in the Geluksoord vineyard, located near the Bottelary Ward in Stellenbosch. The year 2024 proved exceptional, allowing winemaker Banele to harvest the grapes at the optimal time, free from rot. He describes this vintage as “splashy,” with vibrant acidity, fruity layers, and great drinkability. The watercolor label pays tribute to his mother, Tembela, portraying her at the forefront with a basket on her head, alongside a second woman in the background—a symbol of community and connection to the land.
