Description
I’ve always been a big fan of Vega Sicilia’s Macán, and the 2021 does not disappoint. The expressive bouquet exudes aromas of dark plum, blackberry alongside notes of dried herbs and subtle violet. The palate is complex, delivering ripe dark fruit wrapped in fine but grippy tannins, brightened by fresh acidity and layered with cedar, cocoa, sweet spice and a touch of tobacco. The finish is long and savoury with lingering mineral tension and spice.
